VIPER 1 Near New - Li'l Red - $ 15 000

In March 2023 we found a Viper 1 in the basement of a building in Gold Coast. The platform was in as new condition. virtually zero usage. It had spent a few years in a boat park under a cover before heading to the basement. Many parts were stolen off the boat. With the assistance of Grant Pellew at Harken and Emma, we dusted her off, put a new crossbow Jib track, Blocks, Mainsheet system, additional cleats, complete new standing and running rigging onto the boat so it could be now sailed sloop.

The boat was perfectly prepared for the single handers in Batemans bay that year.

In addition to the new gear we added Emma and Beau's sails that they won the 2022 F16 National with and a mainsail that was designed by Greg Goodall for solo sailing and foiling - low drag and crazy fast for a lighter crew. The boat has no corrosion, foils are as new and there was not a mark on the hulls.

The boat has all the latest systems, deck sweeper sails and the the red deck grip that gave her the affectionate name of Li'l Red. She is light, stiff and blisteringly fast. In the test sail after assembly at a club day Beau solo'd her to three victories by a crazy margin. She is an absolute joy to sail, light as a feather, responsive and super low drag. Li'l Red will deliver a cheshire cat sized grin to anyone who has the honour of sailing her.

The boat was sold to a retiree who took her out a handful of times.

This ripper boat is back on the market as Gary needs to pass her along. This is the best Viper 1 money can buy. She is cheap because Gary needs to sell her fast.
